Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water


Instructions

  1. Combine blueberries, water, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Lightly mash the blueberries as they warm to release their juice.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool for 20 minutes.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a clean container, pressing on the solids to extract the liquid.
  6. Store the syrup in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to taste.
