- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 small apple, thinly sliced
- 8 fresh mint leaves
- 1 cup ice

- Prep the glasses if using cinnamon sugar rims by rubbing lemon juice around the edges of 2 short whiskey glasses, then dipping them into cinnamon sugar.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 cup ice, 4 ounces bourbon, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, and the warm apple cider mixture (discard the cinnamon sticks). Shake for 15 seconds.
- Fill the prepared glasses with fresh ice and pour the cocktail mixture evenly into both glasses. Garnish each with thin apple slices, 1 cinnamon stick, fresh mint leaves, and a tiny pinch of ground cinnamon.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness by altering the amount of maple syrup to taste.
For a festive touch, consider adding a splash of sparkling water just before serving.
