Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp dried culinary lavender
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2–3 tbsp lavender syrup
- 1 double shot espresso or ½ cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup (8 oz) milk
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 2 tbsp of dried culinary lavender. Stir the mixture well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Then, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the lavender syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, discarding the lavender.
- Add 2 tsp of vanilla extract to the syrup and stir to combine.
- Prepare a double shot of espresso or brew ½ cup of strong coffee, then set aside.
- In a frothing pitcher, heat and froth the milk until it's hot and foamy.
- To serve, combine the brewed espresso or coffee with 2-3 tbsp of lavender syrup, and pour the frothed milk over the top.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness of your Lavender Latte by varying the amount of lavender syrup used.
For a stronger lavender flavor, steep the lavender longer in the syrup before straining.
This latte can be enjoyed hot or iced based on your preference.
