Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the diced pear, honey, cinnamon stick, fresh ginger slices, whole cloves, and water.
- Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes until the pears become soft and the aroma is warm and inviting.
- Stir gently with a wooden spoon to mix the flavors.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- In a shaker, combine the cooled mixture with gin and fresh lemon juice.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the mixture over the ice.
- Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
- Garnish with thin slices of pear and star anise pods before serving.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey according to your preference.
